Common Questions
1. What
technology does Deshcall use?
DeshCall mainly utilizes VoIP technology (Voice over
Internet Protocol). This is a method for taking analogue
audio signals, like the kind you hear when you talk on the
phone, and turning them into digital data that can be
transmitted over the Internet, and then reconvert it to
analogue audio signal at the other end so you can speak to
anyone with a regular phone number. Using dedicated internet
circuits as a backbone for carrying voice, leads to
extremely low costs, as compared to dedicated PSTN networks.
This means more value for money, and our customers can save
a lot on their international calling.
2. How
am I charged for my calls?
With DeshCall, payment is done through your credit card. To
add more money to your Virtual Calling Card account, click
on 'Add Credits' link located at the left hand section of
every page on the member area. Alternatively, customers are
now able to make direct credits into a bank account.
3.
What is the DeshCall virtual calling card?
Your DeshCall account runs on similar platforms to that of
other calling cards. Using your registered telephone you can
make calls to any phone across the globe. This means you can
dial directly from any regular landline telephone and have
the charges deducted from the balance on your account. There
is just no physical scratch card.
4. How
can I signup for the DeshCall service?
For first time users, click on 'Get it now' button at the
bottom right corner of DeshCall homepage. Alternatively, you
are welcome to call us on any one of our numbers listed on
the ‘Contact Us’ page.
5. How
can check my call history?
With DeshCall you can view the list of calls made, online.
Just click on the “My Account" link on the top right corner
of the home page, and then use your Account Number and PIN
to log in. After logging in, select "View Call List" from
the left side menu on the page.
6. Why
is DeshCall cheaper than other calling services?
Our Virtual Calling Card services are sold directly to end
user, no middlemen involved. No cost of distribution, no
printing of cards etc. Hence prices are lower than
competitors, as we cut out the cost of middlemen and
distribution. The benefits of this cost saving go directly
to the end user.
